10 things a man should never say to a woman

Dating can be hard, especially when you are getting know each other and trying hard not to offend one another.
For most women being sensitive towards others’ feelings comes naturally however the same can’t be said for men.
There are some things men should never say to their female partners. We’ve decided to share these things to help men avoid those ‘conversational land mines’.
1. "Are you really going to eat all that?"
Why would someone order a plate of food or dish up only to sit and stare at it? You cannot ask this without sounding like you are telling her that she is overweight and eats too much. Women already have enough issues about their weight and you adding your two cents worth won’t help the situation .
2. "B*tch"
Like Queen Latifah said: “Who you calling B*tch?!!” The literal mean of the word is a female dog, so unless you are into bestiality such a word should never be used to describe your female companion….or any other woman for that matter.
3. "My ex used to ... "
If your ex was so good why don’t you go back to her? The past should remain in the past; comparing your current partner to your ex is just asking for trouble. Ask your partner to try new things with you but never bring up your ex.
4. "You always do that"
Don’t keep a record of wrongs. When you have a problem deal with it then move on. Don’t keep reminding your partner of their past mistakes or bad habits.
5. "You sound just like your mother"
Most of the time telling your girlfriend/wife that she sounds like her mother means that you think she is an old nag and nobody wants to be told that. She is her own person and although she may share some values and beliefs with her mom, she has an independent identity.
6. "Yeah, she's hot"
So she asks you a question like: ‘Do you think Mary is hot?’….don’t fall for it, it’s a trap and answering "Yeah, she's hot" could mean nights on the couch for you. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
7. "What's up with your hair?"
We all have bad hair days and believe me a woman knows when her hair looks terrible; she doesn’t need a reminder from you. Give her a day or two to sort it out, if she doesn’t then you must find another way to broach the subject.
8. "Relax"
So she’s shouting at you about something you forgot to do again or just venting the day’s frustrations? Don’t tell her to relax or just chill. If you are the source of her anger try listening and saying something like: "I can see how you would feel that way."
9. "Is this your time of the month?"
Even if it is, you're not to mention it. Your role is to pretend that her menstrual cycle has no effect on her mood. Also avoid asking that question everytime she gets annoyed or emotional, not everything is tied to the menstrual cycle.
10. "I love you"
Yes, every woman wants to know that she is loved but saying those words just to get out of trouble is a No, No. One should only say I love you when they mean it, not to diffuse a situation or get the ‘cookie’.
Now that you have those tips, dealing with women will be a bit easier.

10 things a woman should never say to a man

When it comes to relationships women are not so perfect either. Foot in mouth disease can strike at any minute with serious repercussions.

So to avoid such occurrences, here are a few tips:
Never tell a man:

1. “Man up”
You are basically calling him a sissy and no man wants to hear that. He is the head of the household traditionally, so emasculating him with such words will not earn you any points.
2. “We need to talk”
Sirens go off and panic buttons get pressed when men hear these words. For them, ‘we need to talk’ means ‘you are in deep s**t. Just broach your issues in a normal conversation. It's easier that way.
3. “Anything about size”
If it didn’t matter to you, you wouldn’t bring up the subject. After all you know what they say: “It's not the size of the boat, but the motion of the ocean”
4. “Do I look fat in this?
Don’t ask this question unless you are ready for the brutally honest answer you will get. If you think you look fat in something, you probably do. So just choose another item of clothing instead of picking fights.
5. “Never mind. I’ll do it myself.”
So you ask him to do something and as usual he takes his sweet all time to get it done. Losing your temper is not the solution. Your man wants to feel needed. Ask him again and maybe add a little incentive to encourage him. Eg. “I’ll give you a back rub if you….”
6. “I can’t live without you”
Can you say ‘clingy’? A man wants a strong and independent woman by his side and saying such words in a new relationship will make a man run in the opposite direction.
7. “I’m not your mother”
Oh no you didn’t! Men love their mothers so saying anything bad about her will get you on his wrong side. So steer clear of the ‘m’ word.
8. “Nothing’s wrong”
Who are you trying to fool? Of course something is wrong, just tell him instead of playing mind games.
9. Your friend is so charming
Why are you looking at his friends like that? They are his friends and your relationship with them must just remain cordial.
10. I paid for it, it's my money
Yes, you earn more in the relationship and you buy most of the things in the house but why use that to make your man feel small? A relationship should be a partnership so discuss things with him even small purchases, don’t make him feel like a useless ‘rabak

9 Common Traits Of Happy People (That They Don’t Talk About)

 by Mark DeNicola.

Happiness. It’s the term thrown around more often than any other term when people are asked what they are looking for in life. A loving partner, a fun high-paying job and endless world travel are also amongst some of the most common answers, however all of these are preference-based means to the one ultimate end, which is happiness. Being so sought-after, I thought I’d comprise a list of common traits that seem to be found in happy people -and I’m talking about the genuinely happy people, and not just those who appear to be so on the surface.
By compiling this list I’m not suggesting that these are the only keys to happiness, I’m simply shedding light on some common characteristics I’ve come to find.

1. Love Themselves For Who They Are

On the surface this may sound incredibly egotistical, but by it I simply mean that they are truly comfortable in their own shoes. They accept and embrace themselves physically, they maintain their true character traits regardless of whether or not they receive approval and they work to make the best of the human experience they are living -rather than wallow in what others would define as weaknesses or shortcomings.

2. See Relationships As An Extension To, Rather Than The Basis Of The Human Experience

Relationships, whether friendly, familial or romantic, are certainly one of the greatest parts of the human experience. However, far too many of us let their presence or absence, and even more so the value we attribute to them dictate our overall happiness in life. I’ve found that genuinely happy people tend to find complete contentment within themselves, and see all relationships as the awesome extension to their self-content. It’s often when we are not looking for others to fill a particular void, or to make us feel a certain way, that most of the truest and most-valuable relationships are formed.

3. Embrace Change

Life is a constant lesson and happy people tend to be well-aware of that. Not only are they always open to change, but they truly listen to suggestions, respect and consider all opinions and take criticism constructively rather than offensively.

4. Celebrate Rather Than Compare Themselves To The Accomplishments Of Others

Jealousy is a killer, and as Gary Allan once said, “You can be the moon and still be jealous of the stars.” We are all capable of accomplishing anything in this life and are the only ones that are going to find the drive within ourselves to do it. Rather than observe and compare to those who have accomplished, the truly happy tend to celebrate it and use it as motivation to accomplish things within their own lives.

5. Never Dwell In Being A Victim

We’ve all been the so-called ‘victim’ to several things in life. Whether it be an unexpected break-up, getting fired from a job, or even something as serious as the recipient of domestic abuse. Truly happy people tend to be those who choose not to dwell in it. They choose to let the victimization strengthen them, rather than wear it as a badge of weakness or as the thing that makes them consistently worthy of receiving sympathy.

6. They Live In The Present

As fun as reminiscing about the past or fantasizing about the future can be, nothing will ever be done in anything but the present and happy people tend to realize that. Not only do they realize it, but they tend to use it as motivation to make the most of it. In addition to being motivating, presence can also come in handy for truly appreciating those moments of relaxation, allowing yourself to be truly in them, rather than projecting future concerns into them.

7. Trust That Everything Happens For A Reason

This can very easily be paired with the choice to not be a victim, but happy people tend to trust the process and existence of everything in their life. They know that nothing is ever too big to handle and choose to embrace what life is currently throwing at them rather than cowering at the sight of it.

8. They Don’t Let Money Dictate Their Lives

Nobody is denying that in this world right now we all need money to exist, and as a result many of us spend the bulk of our lives doing things that help us earn it. What I’ve found to differentiate happy people is that they don’t let money be the ultimate dictator in their life. They still make sensible choices within their means, but they never let money: A) prevent them from pursuing a so-called “risky” passion, B) be the factor that is blamed for why their life is so miserable, C) complain about how little they have. There are creative ways to do everything in this world, and seeing money as only being possible to make in the standard ways is the most crippling thing to that creativity.

9. Look Within For Solutions

One of the most powerful realizations a genuinely happy person will often operate based on is “change starts within.” The empowerment that comes as a result of not only realizing this but even more so in using it as the backbone to everything in life can be quite remarkable. There are thousands of books, mantras, techniques and practices out there that can all help us to find solutions to so many things in life, but they all require one thing to truly be serviceable: the consciousness to support them.
