They demanded that manufacturers include a label on their products which should warn about the great amounts of acrylamide included. Acrylamide is a harmful cancer-causing chemical, which is created in the process of baking or frying of starchy foods at high temperatures.
Therefore, it is advisable to eliminate potato chips from your diet, or reduce their intake to a minimum. Instead, you should try and prepare the following health recipe that will be great for your health, as it contains numerous nutrients.
Namely, it includes chickpeas, which are a rich source of protein, zinc, folate, iron and fiber.
As we stated, potato chips can cause diabetes while this delicious recipe is high in fiber and will thus reduce the blood sugar levels. Furthermore, zinc and iron will maintain the structure of bones and will provide body strength.

Coconut Curry Chickpeas- Recipe
The preparation will last no more than 5 minutes, and you will have to cook it for around half an hour. It serves 1-3.
  • 2 cans low-sodium, organic chickpeas
  • 2 Tablespoons curry powder
  • 2 Tablespoons coconut oil(melted)
  • Sea salt (to taste)
Method of preparation:
The oven should be preheated to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, rinse the chickpeas off with some water, and leave them to dry.
Mix the curry powder and the coconut oil in a larger bowl. Then, when dry, add the chickpeas as well.
Mix them around with your hands in order to make sure that they are all coated in the curry powder and the oil. Next, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and sprinkle them with the sea salt.
You should put the chickpeas in the oven and bake them for half an hour or 40 minutes, in order to turn light brown and crispy. Note that they are the most delicious if eaten within a day or two.
