Sour cherry is fruit declared as super food. It is highly rich in vitamins E, C, A as well as magnesium, folic acid, fiber and iron, meaning it can be eaten in unlimited amounts.
This fruit is a source of minerals and vitamins and has beneficial influence onto the entire organism. Red anthocyanins is this fruit’s main pigment and it is contained much more in sour cherries than in strawberries, currants and blackberries. Sour cherries also contain more beta carotene than blueberries and strawberries. This fruit also contains melatonin, an antioxidant, which represents regulator of aging and heart rate.
This super-fruit represents an elixir for the organism and plays very important role for maintaining skin’s beauty. It helps to accelerate healing process after surgery, reduce inflammation and fight against insomnia. Also, it’s good for soothing symptoms of menopause and fighter against cancer, especially colon cancer.
Fresh sour cherries can also help in weight loss. Handful of these, consumed after hard training will help remove fatigue. You can eat sour cherries in fresh, dried or frozen dried form.
Sour Cherry Leaves
You can use stems of sour cherry to make tea. This tea helps for ejecting sand out of the urinary tract, then, against impotence, cellulite, chronic cough and kidney disease. The leaf can be a mean of beauty. It helps against swollen eye lids and dandruff.

Put spoonful of sour cherry leaves (crushed) and tablespoon of dried cilantro blossoms (crushed) in enamel bowl. Add three cups hot beer in the herbal mixture. Place the pot on fire and heat until boiling point. Reduce the heat and to cook for 30 more minutes. Put the pot off fire. Strain the resulting tea through gauze or strainer after it cools.
Drink two tablespoons of the tea 3 times after meals. You should consume the last of the tea before bedtime. This treatment should last between 1 and 2 months. This beverage possesses beneficial effect against liver diseases.

Against hepatitis A
This tea is consisted of dried leaves of sour cherry. Crush 10 dried leaves and put them in enamel bowl with 300 milliliters of water. Cook over low fire for about half an hour. Strain the tea, after it cools, and consume ¼ of a cup, three times daily.
